As we delve further in to 2026 with our maritime project 2026 will have a change of focus from the Burrs in Brough to a site in Brantingham.  it will not be an open site for visitors but will still be available for community volunteers to take place as normal.  

Organised weekend visits to see the excavations are planned subject to approval of the land owners.

The location of the dig will remain unpublicised to protect the local community.

The maritime project is an accumulation of two exploration events one physical and one digital. The initial exploration began in the late 70’s in the physical form, and digitally for the past two years by James Lyall and his team of local volunteers.
