Don’t forget to put 12th of July in your diary as its Roman Festival time again.
Our bi-annual festival is back with some old favourites and some new in the arena, this year with a mounted display from the group Autonomous Reenactors Collective. With a whole host of local heritage groups there is a lot to learn about the East Riding and wider areas history. We hope to have this years dig site opened for the last time so we are able to complete the story of this area. the dig will start for the community a week later
As always the festival is free to the community, as is the dig, but an expectation is there that those who visit will make a donation. This year donation buckets will be available on the gates and those people donating will get a ticket to exchange for a free gift as a token of our thanks.
Donations ideally would be £2 per adult, children free with an adult up to aged 12, £1 13 to 18 yrs old.
Tickets for free gift are subject to availability and limited.
